Reindeer is an excellently equipped ski club located in a prime position on the mountain which
allows us to feature ski-in and ski-out facilities. We have two undercover and three roadside car
spaces for our guests to make your stay on the mountain easy (use is subject to availability and
access permits). We also have the best full time lodge managers on the mountain who welcome
guests upon arrival and are available to answer questions and offer assistance throughout your
The open plan living areas are great for relaxing, with plenty of couches, docking stations for
iPods, flat screen TV, wireless internet connection (fee applies), huge open windows
with great views, central heating and a fire place. Downstairs has outdoor balconies wrapping around
the whole building and BBQ facilities.
There is also a large open plan modern kitchen area, fully stocked with modern utensils and
crockery which makes cooking a breeze and a social experience. Each room has a separate
fridge and pantry, which are clearly numbered and set out for their exclusive use.
Secure ski lock up areas, drying room facilities and security code access are available on site.
What to Bring
Aside from clothes and linen, everything else can be either purchased or hired on the mountain,
however it can get expensive!
We find that our members and guests generally bring about 50% of their food and beverages
for the duration of their stay up onto the mountain with them. With the ample storage and
refrigeration space available, it makes good sense.
As you are here for a holiday, you won’t want to be spending all day cooking! We find that most
guests bring up pre-prepared foods like soups, lasagne, casseroles, pasta sauces and the like.
That being said, with the fully equipped kitchen it is possible to cook up a three course meal if
that’s your thing. There is a licensed IGA supermarket on the mountain where daily bread, milk,
newspapers as well as all grocery items can be purchased.
Mt Buller also boasts some fine restaurants most of which are child-friendly.
With regard to your ski/ boarding equipment and clothes, all the ski hire places can deck you out
in this gear. At Reindeer, we have a lodge arrangement with Pension Grimus Ski Hire, where all
guests get a 10% discount on all hire.
Finally the last two items you must bring are a shovel to dig your car out of the snow (if you’re
lucky) and a credit card.
